Rites of Passage Series

Over three full days together we’ll look at the physiological, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of the dying process in the context of the biodynamic paradigm, exploring ground and orientation, safety & the heart centred relational field and the cultivation of embodied presence. Each day will include time in circle around the fire, guided meditative and perceptual processes, lectures and presentations in the outdoor classroom, free time to walk or rest in the forest and table work in the Nest. A vegetarian lunch is included in the course fee, sourced from local, organically grown produce and prepared for us with care. Vegan and gluten free options can be accommodated. Teas and snacks will also be available.

This non-residential course is an opportunity to explore in-depth the Rite of Passage of Dying, the transition from incarnation back to Spirit that every person experiences and which can involve strong emotional process for both the person who is dying and their loved ones.

Craniosacral therapy can be a wonderful experience for people in the dying process, helping to calm the nervous system, and re-align the person with the forces of the Universe. Our table sessions will be oriented to the vast support of the Long Tide, relational touch and use of the voice to calm and reassure, and an orientation to the dynamics of the Depths of Stillness to facilitate deep rest, potentiation of the fluids and completion of healing processes orchestrated by the Breath of Life. We’ll also look at ways to support the bereaved and take time to examine our own beliefs, attitudes and feelings about death. We’ll use ancient shamanic methods such as the Medicine Walk and the Drum Journey to gather information and create a container for the transformation and healing of our personal history and we’ll join together for a Fire Ceremony to honour the Ancestors and our Lineages.

In addition to personal process work, this course will benefit those who wish to refine their practice, recognising and orienting more consciously to the particular challenges and gifts of working with people in their dying process. It will also provide some nourishing time out in a beautiful natural setting. Please note that this seminar is non-residential. Camping or B&B accommodation is available nearby. Places are strictly limited to a maximum of 8 participants.

Total cost is £395, with £100 deposit required on application to secure your place. The balance can be paid in instalments or a second payment of £295 due 6/52 before the course date.
